The worldwide racing pigeon competition of the season 2021 has come to an end. After some small changes in the regulations, which gave more possibilities for the fanciers and pigeons to win prizes, the call was announced on the FCI website and sent to the member federations in the beginning of 2021.
On the website of FCI, the categories and the requirements of World Best Pigeon Championship can also be found: Only the national federations- members of FCI can participate in the World Best Pigeon / WBP/
championship. There is no possibility for single fanciers to send data to FCI Sport Commission.
The deadline for the federations to send data was 1 st January. The FCI Sport Commission received nominations from 27 member federations, from 4 continents.
These countries are the following: Argentina, Algeria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland , Portugal , Romania Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Jordan, UK NEHU, UK RPRA, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, The Netherlands, Ukraine.
Matteo Grappa, the chairman of the FCI Sport Commission reported that now they controlled the data accepted from federations.
FCI will announce the winners of World Best Pigeon/ WBP/ Championship on 20 th January 2022.
The winners of WBP will receive their prizes at the Olympiad in Oradea: 12- 14 August 2022.
