The Cuban Federation invited FCI for their 2022 national congress. With more than 8000 members, the Cuban Federation is a strong federation in Latin America.
The president accepted this invitation and an FCI delegation visited the congress, to give the support to newly elected board and the pigeon sport in Cuba.
Istvan Bardos, president of FCI had an important meeting with Wilfredo Gonzalez Vidal , viceminister of Communication, about the possibilities to develop the pigeon sport in Cuba. The viceminister recognized, this is a historical moment for Cuba when for the first time in history an FCI president visited their country.
Mr. Bardos visited the Havana Club, which was founded in 1900, and is still very active till today.
The delagation had meetings with new board members about the rules and regulations of FCI and about ways, how Cuba can be part of the international stage including participations in international competitions.
The FCI delegation participated at the National Exhibition in Matanzas, where Mr Bardos opened the exhibition and presented prizes to fanciers.
The main aim of Mr. Bardos and the FCI was to support the Cuban Federation and to delvelop the pigeon sport all aroud the word.
The visit was a success for Cuba and for the Latin American countries in general.
