On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 January, on the occasion of the 48th Portuguese National Colombophile Exhibition in Torres Novas, the 1st Congress of the Confederation of the Mediterranean was held where delegates from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, San Marino, Israel and Turkey were present.
To date, the Confederation count 13 countries (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, San Marino, Israel, Turkey, Jordan. Slovenia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Malta) and contacts are underway for the adhesion of other federations in the Mediterranean area.
The main objective of the forum, in full partnership with FCI, is to give a boost to the pigeon sport and create a connection between the member federations and their fanciers.
